Can You Really Learn to Be Funnier?
Darren LaCroix is living proof that you can. His journey of becoming a comedian, even though he wasn’t funny, is not only ironic, but it’s also the truth. He proved that you can learn to be funny. He bombed miserably at a comedy club in Boston in 1992. Fast forward to 2001 when he out-spoke 25,000 contestants to become the World Champion of Public Speaking. He created one of the most talked about speeches in the history of the contest, and it was funny!

That night’s headline comedian literally told Darren as he left the stage, “Don’t quit your day job.” He was never told he was funny, and he had no stage presence whatsoever. Because Darren learned the hard way, he is quick to point out the shortcuts to make your journey light years faster than his. Or Stephanie McHugh, who after doing comedy less than a year in her 30s, with two small children, won a trip to the Las Vegas Comedy Festival as a finalist in the Laugh Across America Contest. She kept radio listeners laughing on the Steve and Stephanie Morning Show on KOOL 105 in Denver, CO. She was also on Nick at Nite's TV Show "America's Funniest Mom".
In addition to stand up, Stephanie is now helping entrepreneurs and speakers add humor to their own presentations so they can connect with their audiences. Stephanie is dedicated to helping people who have a message and knows how humor can help their message resonate with their audience.
Forever Change How You Look at Laughter

Both Kevin and Darren have improv backgrounds. Before stand-up comedy and speaking, Darren played a groom in an improv, dinner theater wedding show. He credits the stage presence he has now to be direct result of his improv experience.
Kevin has headlined the Vegas show Defending the Caveman over 4,000 times. He was a comedian and a clown for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Together Kevin and Darren will go back to their roots and walk you through a series of improv games throughout the workshop. Refunds for cancellation will be made on the following basis: A full refund, less a $50 processing fee, will be granted if requested 31 days prior to live event.
